An really disturbing an thought provoking look into a borderline incestious mother-son relationship。 This book is an adequate follow up to the first one and answers the questions the reader might have straight on while also leaving them with many more。 Overall， I enjoyed the experience even though this is not my personal favorite style。

[review for vols 1-4]This is now my third series by Oshimi and he still manages to creep the hell out of me with something as simple as a smile。 His pacing and skill at creating mood are unsurpassed。 He is a master of psychological horror。 I keep thinking things are going in a certain direction and he either prolongs （interminably） the tension or switches direction suddenly so that you never feel like you have your footing。 What I love so far about the series is how sympathetic the mother remain [review for vols 1-4]This is now my third series by Oshimi and he still manages to creep the hell out of me with something as simple as a smile。 His pacing and skill at creating mood are unsurpassed。 He is a master of psychological horror。 I keep thinking things are going in a certain direction and he either prolongs （interminably） the tension or switches direction suddenly so that you never feel like you have your footing。 What I love so far about the series is how sympathetic the mother remains despite being the source of the horror in the series。 Mental illness is serious and affects families profoundly。 I'd say I'm looking forward to where the series is headed but I'm not。。。in the best way possible。 。。。more

I would imagine that this series would read best with complete omnibus editions。 The art is great and the frames are absolutely chilling。 So little of the story is explicitly stated， instead being told through the way the panels are drawn and character expressions。 That being said， the asking price for each volume is a lot considering how easy they are to rip through。 Still， it’s an intriguing story I want more of and I’m sure that it’s going to ramping up subtly as it goes on。
